Transportation

Your sending school district will provide you with a ride to and from school. Students take school buses, cabs, have family members drive them, ride the city bus, and some have drivers who are contracted by the sending school to bring them.

FOR TRANSPORTATION PROVIDERS AND DRIVERS:
Standard school hours are:
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,  Friday - 9:30am-3:30pm
  • Wednesday 9:30am-1:30pm.
Because our students come from several different counties, we have created a drop off and pick up window to be flexible.
  • AM Drop Off Window: 9:30am-9:45am
  • PM Pick Up Window, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 3:15pm-3:30pm
  • PM Pick Up Window, Weds: 1:15pm-1:30pm.
Any drop off or pick up time outside of this window needs to be approved by both Centerpoint School team and the sending school team, as it will impact instructional hours and/or supervision/safety.
If you are not sure what campus you should be transporting students to (94 West Canal Street, Winooski or 46 Main Street, Winooski) please be in touch with the House Leader at your school connected to the student.

If there is a snow day...
Centerpoint is part of the VAB School Closing System. This means that if school is cancelled or there is a school delay, it will be listed on most local television and radio stations as “Centerpoint.” A recorded message will also be left on the main line (802-488-7711) if there is any change to the regular school day schedule.

If your sending school is closed but Centerpoint School is not closed it is likely that your student will not have transportation and they do not need to attend school that day. It will be considered an excused absence.
