COUNSELING TEACHER
​Do you believe that a student can learn as much on a farm, in a kitchen, or in an auto garage as in a classroom? Ever wish you could spend more time focusing on what matters to students? Do you want to work somewhere where coworkers are respectfully and joyfully in community with one another? You might be a great fit for Centerpoint School. Centerpoint School is a therapeutic, special education independent school for students in grades 7 through 12+. We serve our students through individualized and small group academics in a therapeutic setting to address their mental health and special education needs. We believe that all students can learn and we support them in theirlearning through interest-based academics and supportive relationships with caring adults. Centerpoint School’s Counseling Teachers provide direct instruction, experiential education, and supportive counseling services. Our ideal candidate will have skills and experience in:
  • community-based experiential instruction
  • engaging strengths-based activities
  • creative curriculum strategies based on the Vermont Standards and Framework and Common Core
