Your Team at Centerpoint
At Centerpoint you will have a “team” of people to offer support. Your team will include Centerpoint staff as well as people from your life outside of school. Your team will help you to achieve the things that you want, help you to explore new opportunities, help you to fulfill others’ expectations of you, and help you to set, and accomplish, your long-term goals. Your team at Centerpoint School begins with the School Director and Clinical Director.

These may be two of the first people you will meet at Centerpoint:

The Centerpoint School Director is Lorcan Ackley. He can be reached at (802) 324-4790 or through email at LorcanA@CenterpointServices.org.

Centerpoint School’s Clinical Director is John Grimm. He can be reached at (802) 324-4507 or through email at JohnG@CenterpointServices.org.

Your Centerpoint School House

Centerpoint School has a “House Model” in which a small team of staff and a small group of students who work closely together toward your individual and group goals. While students have opportunities and access to all of the resources at Centerpoint, this smaller “House Model” allows the student-staff relationships and student-student relationships to become much more supportive, consistent, and helpful.

Your House will consist of other Students, a dedicated group of Counseling Teachers, a School Social Worker, and a House Leader
. You’ll be assigned to a House that best meets your needs, interests, and goals.  Each House is a little different.  Some Houses are more oriented toward “classroom” work or group work, and some are more oriented to community-based learning with mentorships and internships.
